Camp Well Read is a special readers retreat created for our community to step away from the everyday and step into a weekend of all things reading, connection, creativity, and fun.
Think summer camp—but make it bookish.
For a few days, we’re trading our usual routines for cozy slow mornings, new friendships, bookish activities, and plenty of time to read. There will be adventures to explore, memories to make, and even time to disappear into a book with absolutely nowhere else to be.
Whether you’ve been part of Well Read since the beginning or you’re joining us for the very first time, there’s a place for you at camp. To building new friendships or making new ones, we’re excited for what is to come at this special retreat.

Around 3 ½ hours away and located right outside of Fredericksburg, Texas — Our cozy, residential retreat will be the perfect backdrop for fall campfires, slow mornings, good books, and all the cozy camp vibes.
The grounds include a private outdoor heated pool, kayaks and direct river access, large private deck for group dinners, and campfire areas are perfect for evening s’mores under the stars!

Your retreat booking covers everything you need for the full retreat experience — outside of travel.
Specifically your purchase includes your accommodation, meals + drinks, all planned activities and experiences, personalized retreat merchandise and goodies, and more surprises!
Again, travel to and from the retreat are not included in the total cost at purchase — please factor that in for yourself prior to booking. 🤎

Coming with a friend? We recommend booking together so you can stay in the same room! After booking, please email or DM us with your room placement request. Room assignments are first come, first served, so we encourage you to book early.
Coming solo? No worries—you’re still invited to camp! If you book a double queen room, we’ll do our best to pair you with another solo camper who selected the same room type. After registration closes, you’ll receive a roommate questionnaire to help us make the best possible match.

Each cabin includes two queen beds and an ensuite bathroom — a comfortable option for friends traveling together or solo campers matched with a roommate.
Coming with a friend or solo? Either book together and let us know your room placement request or wait for the roommate questionnaire to be paired with another member!
Your own cozy, private corner of camp. Our only private cabin option, perfect for the camper who wants a little extra privacy and space to unwind after a full day of reading, exploring, and making memories.
Cabin includes a single queen bed and ensuite full bathroom.

Your Camp Well Read booking covers the full retreat experience, not just your accommodations. This includes your room, meals + drinks, planned activities and experiences, Pilates + wellness programming, personalized merch, goodies, decorations, and other special surprises throughout the weekend. Travel to and from the retreat and personal items are not included.

Yes! Payment plan options will be available for campers who prefer to split their retreat cost into multiple payments. More details on payment deadlines and installment options will be provided during booking.

All Camp Well Read bookings are non-refundable upon purchase. Please review your plans and availability carefully before securing your spot.

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it! If you’re coming with a friend, we recommend booking together and contacting us via DM or email with your room placement request. Rooms are assigned first come, first served, so we recommend booking early.
